Vinicius Jr. has turned down Real Madrid’s initial contract extension proposal. The club initiated a meeting to discuss a salary increase following the Brazilian’s recent recognition with the “The Best” award. Currently, the winger earns a net salary of €15 million, an amount very close to that of Kylian Mbappé. Despite the proposed pay raise, Vinicius declined the offer, raising uncertainty about the future of negotiations.

However, this decision does not mean a definitive break between the two parties. Further discussions are expected to take place in an attempt to reach an agreement. Real Madrid is keen to secure the future of their attacking star, while Vinicius, now one of the team’s key players, might be holding out for an even better offer. It remains to be seen whether a deal will be reached in the coming weeks.
